El virus más letal
El virus más letal es la coacción institucionalizada que constituye el ADN inseparable del Estado y que puede llegar incluso a negar en su origen el surgimiento de toda una pandemia. Se han hecho desaparecer pruebas, se han perseguido y silenciado a científicos y médicos heroicos por el simple hecho de darse cuenta los primeros y poner en evidencia la gravedad del problema perdiéndose así semanas y meses con un coste inmenso. Centenares de miles que han muerto al propagarse por todo el mundo una epidemia que, en un principio, no parecía tan grave a la vista de estadísticas oficiales escandalosamente manipulada a la baja. El virus más letal es la existencia de pesadas burocracias y organismos supra-estatales que no supieron ni quisieron controlar in situ la realidad de los acontecimientos sino que dieron por buenas las informaciones recibidas apoyando en todo momento e incluso alabando y haciéndose por tanto cómplices de todas las políticas y medidas de coacción emprendidas.
El virus más letal es pensar que el Estado pueda garantizar nuestra salud pública y bienestar universal cuando la ciencia económica ha demostrado que es teóricamente imposible que el planificador central pueda dar un contenido coherente y coordinador a sus mandatos coactivos para lograr sus rimbombantes objetivos. Primero por razón del inmenso volumen de información y conocimientos que precisaría para ello y de los que carece. Y en segundo lugar y sobre todo porque la coacción institucional que le es propia al incidir sobre el cuerpo social de seres humanos que son los únicos capaces de coordinarse de forma espontánea y de crear y producir riqueza bloquea e imposibilita el surgimiento de la información de primera mano que es precisamente la que necesita el Estado para dar un contenido coordinador a sus mandatos. Este es el teorema de la imposibilidad del cálculo económico en el socialismo descubierto por Mises y Hayek en los años 20 del siglo pasado y sin el cual no cabe entender lo que ha sucedido en la historia del mundo.
El virus más letal es la dependencia y complicidad respecto del Estado de innumerables científicos expertos e intelectuales. Esta simbiosis, en un contexto de borrachera del Poder, deja desarmada e inerme a una sociedad civil manipulada a la que, por ejemplo, se anima desde el propio gobierno para que participe en manifestaciones multitudinarias de centenares de miles de personas cuando el virus ya se esta propagando de forma exponencial. Y todo ello tan sólo cuatro días antes de que se conociera la decisión de declarar el estado de alarma y de confinar coactivamente a toda la población.
El virus más letal es la demonización de la iniciativa privada y de la autorregulación ágil y eficiente que le es propia a la vez que se endiosa lo público en todos los ámbitos: la familia, la educación, las pensiones, el empleo, el sector financiero y ahora, con especial relevancia, el sistema sanitario. Más de doce millones de españoles, incluyendo como muestra especialmente cualificada casi el 90% de los más de dos millones de funcionarios del propio Estado y a la propia vicepresidenta del gobierno, ha optado en libertad por la sanidad privada frente una sanidad pública que, a pesar de la inmensa y sacrificada labor heróica y nunca lo suficientemente bien reconocida de sus médicos y sanitarios, es imposible que se desembarace de sus contradicciones internas, listas de espera y probada incapacidad en términos de prevención universal y protección a sus propios miembros. Y así continuamente y utilizándose un doble rasero se denuncia de inmediato cualquier fallo por pequeño que sea en el sector privado cuando los fallos mucho más graves y clamorosos del sector público se consideran como la prueba definitiva de que no se gasta lo suficiente y de qué hay que incrementar aún más su tamaño.
El virus más letal es la propaganda política canalizada por los medios de comunicación del Estado y también por aquellos privados pero adictos o dependientes de él. Desde Goebbels se sabe que es posible convertir en verdades oficiales toda una serie de mentiras machaconamente repetidas a la población, por ejemplo, que nuestra sanidad pública es la mejor del mundo, que el gasto público no dejó de disminuir a partir de la última crisis, que los impuestos los pagan lo ricos que además no desembolsan lo justo, que el salario mínimo no perjudica al empleo, que los precios máximos no producen desabastecimiento, que la renta mínima universal es la panacea del bienestar, que los países del norte de Europa son egoístas e insolidarios por no mutualizar la deuda, que los muertos son los oficialmente reportados y no los reales, que sólo hay unos pocos centenares de miles de infectados, que hacemos tests más que suficientes, que las mascarillas no eran necesarias, etcétera, etcétera. Mentiras todas éstas fácilmente comprobables por cualquier ciudadano medianamente diligente.
El virus más letal es el uso corrupto de la terminología política que recurre a metáforas engañosas para hipnotizar a la población y hacerla aun más dócil y dependiente del Estado. Se dice que estamos librando una guerra y que, cuando la ganemos, será preciso iniciar la reconstrucción pero ni estamos en guerra ni es preciso reconstruir nada. Afortunadamente todas nuestras fábricas ,instalaciones y equipo capital están intactos. Solo esperan a que mañana nos pongamos de nuevo a trabajar, utilizando todo nuestro esfuerzo, ahínco y espíritu empresarial para que muy rápidamente nos recuperemos del parón. Pero para eso es imprescindible una política económica basada en menos Estado y en más libertad de empresa que reduzcan impuestos y regulaciones, sanee y busque el equilibrio de las cuentas públicas, liberalice el mercado laboral y genere seguridad jurídica y confianza. Y de la misma manera que la Alemania de Adenauer y Erhard salió gracias a esta política liberal de una situación muchísimo más grave tras la segunda guerra mundial nuestro país quedará condenado a vivir al ralentí y empobrecido si es que nos empeñamos en seguir la vía contraria socialista.
El virus más letal consiste en el endiosamiento de la razón humana y en el uso sistemático de la coacción que encarna al Estado. Éste se nos presenta con piel de cordero, como la quinta esencia de un buenismo que nos tienta con la posibilidad de conseguir aquí ahora el nirvana, de lograr la justicia social y acabar con la desigualdad, disimulándose que el leviatán se retroalimenta de la envidia y de exacerbar el odio y el resentimiento social. Por todo ello, el futuro de la humanidad dependerá de que ésta sea capaz de inmunizarse del virus más letal. El socialismo que infecta el alma humana y nos ha contagiado a todos.

The most lethal virus is the institutionalized coercion that constitutes the inseparable DNA of the State and that can even deny in its origin the outbreak of a whole pandemic. Heroic scientists and doctors have been persecuted and silenced simply because they realised that the first ones would be lost and the seriousness of the problem would be revealed, and weeks and months would be lost at immense cost. Hundreds of thousands have died as an epidemic spread around the world that initially did not seem so serious in sight of official statistics scandalously manipulated downwards.
The most lethal virus is the existence of heavy bureaucracies and supranational organisms that did not know how to or did not want to control the reality of the events on the ground but accepted the information received, supporting it at all times and even praising and thus becoming complicit in all the policies and coercive measures undertaken.
The most lethal virus is to think that the State can guarantee our public health and universal well-being when economic science has shown that it is theoretically impossible for the central planner to give a coherent and coordinated content to his coercive mandates in order to achieve his bombastic objectives. Firstly, because of the immense volume of information and knowledge that would be required for this purpose and which it lacks. And secondly, and above all, because the institutional coercion that is inherent to it by influencing the social body of human beings, who are the only ones capable of coordinating themselves spontaneously and creating and producing wealth, blocks and makes impossible the emergence of first-hand information, which is precisely what the State needs to give a coordinating content to its mandates. This is the theorem of the impossibility of economic calculation in the socialism discovered by Mises and Hayek in the 1920s and without which it is impossible to understand what has happened in the history of the world.
The most lethal virus is the dependence and complicity with the State of countless expert scientists and intellectuals. This symbiosis, in a context of drunkenness of Power, leaves a manipulated civil society unarmed and defenseless, which, for example, is encouraged by the government itself to participate in mass demonstrations of hundreds of thousands of people when the virus is already spreading exponentially. And all this just four days before the decision to declare a state of alarm and to coercively confine the entire population was known.
The most lethal virus is the demonisation of private initiative and of the agile and efficient self-regulation that is proper to it, while at the same time the public is being endured in all areas: the family, education, pensions, employment, the financial sector and now, with particular relevance, the health system. More than twelve million Spaniards, including as a particularly qualified sample almost 90% of the more than two million civil servants of the State itself and the Vice President of the Government herself, have freely opted for private health care as opposed to public health care which, despite the immense and sacrificial heroic work and never sufficiently well recognized by its doctors and health care providers, is impossible to get rid of its internal contradictions, waiting lists and proven incapacity in terms of universal prevention and protection of its own members. And so it is that any failure, however small, in the private sector is immediately denounced, using double standards, when the much more serious and glaring failures in the public sector are seen as the ultimate proof that not enough is being spent and that its size needs to be further increased.
The most lethal virus is the political propaganda channelled by the state media and also by those private media that are addicted to or dependent on it. Since Goebbels, we have known that it is possible to turn into official truths a whole series of lies that have been repeated repeatedly to the population, for example, that our public health system is the best in the world, that public spending has not stopped decreasing since the last crisis, that taxes are paid by the rich who, moreover, do not pay what is fair, and that the minimum wage does not harm employment, that maximum prices do not produce shortages, that the universal minimum income is the panacea of well-being, that the countries of northern Europe are selfish and unsupportive because they do not mutualise their debt, that the dead are the officially reported ones and not the real ones, that there are only a few hundred thousand infected, that we do more than enough tests, that the masks were not necessary, etc, etc, All these lies are easily verifiable by any moderately diligent citizen.
The most lethal virus is the corrupt use of political terminology that resorts to misleading metaphors to hypnotize the population and make it even more docile and dependent on the state. It is said that we are fighting a war and that, when we win it, reconstruction will have to begin, but we are not at war and nothing needs to be rebuilt. Fortunately all our factories, facilities and capital equipment are intact. They are just waiting for us to get back to work tomorrow, using all our effort, vigour and entrepreneurial spirit so that we can very quickly recover from the standstill. But for that to happen, an economic policy based on less State and more freedom of enterprise is essential, one that reduces taxes and regulations, cleanses and seeks to balance public accounts, liberalizes the labor market and generates legal security and confidence. And just as the Germany of Adenauer and Erhard emerged from a much more serious situation after the Second World War thanks to this liberal policy, our country will be condemned to living at a standstill and impoverished if we insist on taking the opposite socialist path.
The most lethal virus consists of the deification of human reason and the systematic use of coercion embodied in the state. The State is presented to us in sheep’s clothing, as the quintessential goodism that tempts us with the possibility of achieving nirvana here, of achieving social justice and putting an end to inequality, while concealing the fact that the leviathan feeds back on envy and exacerbates social hatred and resentment. For all these reasons, the future of humanity will depend on being able to immunize itself against the most lethal virus. The socialism that infects the human soul and has infected us all.
